Subtitles out of sync?Shift the timing
Off by the same amount throughout? Shift everything. Drifting further as the video goes on? That's usually a frame-rate mismatch: convert it or sync by two lines.
- Move all cues, or only from cue N onward
- Convert between 23.976, 25, 29.97 fps and more
- Give the right times for the first and last line; everything between follows

Questions you might have
Everything is early or late by the same amount. What do I do?
Use the fixed offset. If subtitles appear too late, enter a negative number (−1.5 moves them 1.5 s earlier); if too early, a positive one.
It starts in sync but drifts. Why?
The subtitles were probably timed for a different frame rate (for example 25 fps subtitles on a 23.976 fps video). Use frame-rate conversion, or two-point sync: find when the first and last lines should appear and enter those times.
Can I shift only the second half?
Yes. Set "Start from cue number" and earlier cues stay where they are.
What happens to cues moved before 0:00?
Cues that end before 0:00 are removed and ones that cross it start at 0:00. You'll see how many were removed.
