Questions you might have
Which formats and lengths work?
MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, MP3, M4A, WAV and other common audio/video formats. Up to 20 minutes free, up to 90 minutes paid.
Is my video uploaded to your servers?
No. Your browser extracts the audio track on your computer and uploads only that small audio file. The audio is deleted as soon as it's processed; subtitle files are kept for 7 days, then deleted. We never train models on your files.
How do I add the subtitles to a YouTube video?
Open YouTube Studio → Subtitles → pick the video → Add language → Upload file → With timing → choose the downloaded .srt file → Publish.
Is it free? When do I pay?
Videos up to 10 minutes are free with no sign-in — the result shows right on the page. 10–20 minutes is also free with an email sign-in; it's queued and we email you. Longer videos, or priority processing, use credits: 1 per 10 minutes, 6 for a 1-hour video. When we're busy, free jobs wait a little longer.
Which languages are supported?
English and Chinese (Simplified output) work best. Choose "Detect automatically" for other languages.
How accurate are the subtitles?
Subtitles are generated automatically with no human review. Clear English and Mandarin recordings come out very well, but accuracy isn't guaranteed — check names and terms before publishing.
Do credits expire? Can I get a refund?
Credits last 12 months, work across all tools, and never auto-renew. Purchases are non-refundable; credits for failed jobs are returned automatically.
